Lupis Latin An Easy Latin Question: What Is The Difference Between Lupis And Lupus?

An easy Latin question: what is the difference between lupis and lupus? - lupis latin

This is due to the use of Lupis vs lupus, as the name of a man not related to the reference to the disease lupus related. I know that lupus is the direct translation of a wolf, but sometimes I see it as a variant of Lupis and want to know the difference between the two. I am not an expert in Latin, and I quote only a character in a book, thank you very much!

  1. At first I thought it was a case of lupus dative and ablative plural of lupus ... used but as the name of a man, it makes no sense.

If "Lupis" shall be deemed a nominative masculine, that) the name of a third declension parisyllabic (instead of the second of lupus declination, and has a different meaning "wolf", but not found what could be.

  3. It is a verb Lupi, lupire (would hear classified as very rare) tha a 2nd Person singing this time "lupus". Which means sorrow, the cry of the dragon by nature, "That seems to not help much - the other name of" screaming like a dragon "is not working.

"Lupis" could also mean dative and ablative plural feminine "magnifying glass", meaning wolf, and the jargon of prostitution. This is more like a lead balloon as a name.

I saw references were to "lupus" that other cases of lupus, or just bad spelling. A OTHE rpossibility - can be a dialectal form - from Sicily, Sardinia, or in one of the many dialects in Italy.
